Job Description

DXC Analytics Practice is seeking candidates with analytical troubleshooting skills for a multi-tenant cloud support team. The candidate should be adaptive to a fast paced environment, be able to successfully multi-task, and enjoy the dynamics of a production management role. The role will involve interacting with DXC account developers, end customers, infrastructural support groups, and other distributed application teams supporting various account teams. The candidate must commit to a minimum 1-year term in this role in writing. We are willing to train the right candidates.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of production management including:
  • Professional ownership of production problem, related incidents and end user requests
    • Taking ownership and managing production requests, questions, issues
    • Perform Triage for outages/incidents
    • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis for outages/incidents with L2/3 support
    • Proactive & reactive ready-for-business checks
    • Proactive server monitoring
    • Proactive server performance management
  • Taking proactive initiatives to stabilize and improve the production environment


Candidates Must

  • Understand the overall business flow of supported application systems and its interface with clients
  • Be able to investigate on issues through logs, code, database
  • Effectively provide updates on issues
  • Incident management for system and application issues
  • Act as an escalation point to level 2, 3 and management
  • Work closely with application development to ensure that the support team has excellent knowledge of the application set own and maintain support knowledgebase and documents
  • Document the knowledge articles and related support pages
  • The person is overall accountable for the production environments as well as the non-production environments for the existing team and be part of hours a day
  • Perform post incident analysis
  • Support engineer must be available to provide support coverage 8-hours a day / 5-days a week.
    • Preferred work location is RDC Conway AR


Skills Required

Bachelor's Degree desired along with 5+ years of IT work experience with the skills requested below. Must be able to multi-task and learn new technical skills for this role.
