The Opportunity: Consultant Manufacturing, MES

TheConsulting Division of DXC Technology is currently recruiting for mid-levelroles as a Consultant . Inthis role, you have the responsibility for supporting the delivery of technicaland business solutions within a project setting.

Role:

Collects client data; coordinates and participates inproject activities and supports the implementation of change strategies relatedto an IT and business change.

Helps identify the client IT and business areas in greatestneed of change by using tools and techniques and industry best practices

Conducts gap analyses to assess current and future stateorganizational and behavioral change needs and proposes solutions to close gaps.

Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problemsolving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.Candidates must be able to quickly absorb complex technical details andeffectively communicate the value of those details to clients in demandingsettings. Time management skills are a must, as well as the ability to beflexible and creative .

Uses industry or DXC proprietary methodologies, knowledgeand tools to manage behavior change

Participates and performs as a team player with DXC project team, client and third-partyresources. Produces and manages projectdeliverables in the Change Management discipline and tracks progress by projectphase. Assists the project team with problem solving and risks/issue mitigation

Builds credibility at all levels with clients, DXC and thirdparty vendors/support functions

Communicates well both verbal and written; writespresentations, facilitates client workshops, hosts team events, developsprofessional deliverables.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participates in gathering technical requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g., facilitated workshops, work sessions and interviews); performs technical analysis and design to the sub-system level (Technical).
  • Develops program specifications for all levels of complexity; codes programs from high level specifications or Derived Logical Processes (DLPs) on two or more technical platforms; optimizes program performance and maintainability. Raises business application prototypes to production levels (Technical).
  • Defines technical requirements to support a data conversion effort and executes automated and manual data cleansing procedures (Technical).
  • Develops standards, templates, and procedures to aid in the development of the required work products (Methodology).
  • Conducts performance and integration testing, helps analyze test results, and assists in identifying modifications or necessary improvements (Business).
  • Establishes and maintains networking relationships with middle management in client organizations (Relationship Management).
  • Understands client needs and matches them to relevant services or products; manages client expectations (Leverage).
  • Understands and communicates goals and critical success factors for the project; sells ideas persuasively and paces the communications properly (Communication).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in technical analysis and design, preferably within a consulting environment
  • One to two years of relevant MES, Aftermarket or Assembly experience
  • Experience working with techniques, tools, and approaches for application development and system integration
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches for selecting technical products and vendors
  • Preferred experience with Solumina Applications

Expectationfor Travel:

Forthe Consulting Division of DXC Technology, all roles require a commitment to100% travel. This doesn't mean that aperson will always be traveling for assignments, but new Consultants joining ourteam need to understand that they could be assigned to a travel role. The staffing process focuses on assigningpeople to local roles as a priority, however, if a Consultant is available andhas the right skills for an assignment for another DXC Technology office acrossthe United States, the Consultant may be staffed into that travelassignment. When this happens, theytravel to the project location at the start of the week, return at the end ofthe work week and are home during the weekends.

  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures
