Senior SAP BASIS Job Specification
In this role you will be part of a specialist SAP Basis team providing support and maintenance activities to many secure and commercial accounts with varying landscapes and platforms. On a day to day basis, you will be expected to proactively monitor and support business critical SAP systems. You will also be involved in maintenance activities such as patching / upgrading and disaster recovery testing. You will also be required to deliver key tactical changes and landscape upgrades for client SAP environments. There are also opportunities to become involved in SAP technical project delivery projects.
Key Responsibilities and Experience Required:
SC level clearance is a requirement for this role.
To be considered for this role should be able to demonstrate significant experience of all Basis areas including – Monitoring using SAP Solution Manager, performance management, backup and recovery, transport management of ABAP and Java changes, database administration and management, and be experienced in change control processes and procedures as well as incident resolution. Additional experience in patching and upgrading of both SAP and databases and of high availability and failover is preferred.
You will liaise with both internal and external customers, as well as being able to anticipate and manage escalations arising out of client support environments.
You will be required to be part of an on-call rota for out of hours cover.
Occasional weekend working maybe required to support project work or BAU activities.
