Controller / Project Manager
Our client, located in Northville, MI, is looking for a Controller with project management experience. The ideal candidate has worked in the Automotive industry and is very strong in SAP. This is a long-term contract opportunity.
The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
+ Attain a thorough understanding of essential financial functions, then be able to summarize and discuss them with key business partners
+ Engage with various business partners for various controllership and FP& A activities like maintaining accuracy of accrual models, appropriate accounting, and participating in true-up activities
+ Analyze and observe controls to ensure they are effectively designed and operating in partnership with compliance
+ Full understanding of month-end close process, SAP system utilization for Actual reporting, forecasting and budgeting
+ Support SAP process and system testing, as required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
+ Highly skilled at communication with prior experience creating trusted advisor/consultant relationships and influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers
+ 5+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
+ Experience engaging with teams and providing leadership across finance teams
+ Well-founded grasp of System Testing
+ Process Improvement experience
+ Quality experience with SAP Configuration (SAP is must)
+ Practical knowledge of Intercompany Accounting
+ Proven knowledge of cross functional project management
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
