Robert Half is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to fill a position at a flourishing company. Some of your responsibilities in this role include running financial modeling on a number of financial products and measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. We will also rely on you for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. As part of a dynamic team, you will be a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract opportunity and is located in the Humble, Texas, area. Major responsibilities

– Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

– Execute and monitor forecasting reports

– Work with contacts in Accounting and Operations to support business plans

– Individual that enjoys a flexible work environment, experienced in handling vast amounts of information and managing expectations

– Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

– Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

– Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

– Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

– Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

– Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

– Facilitate effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

Requirements – Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

– BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

– Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)

– Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

– Excellent oral and written communication skills

– Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

– Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

– Experience with Microsoft Excel

– Knowledge of variance analysis

– Budget forecasting experience

– Financial reporting experience

– Financial modeling experience
