Robert Half is looking for a talented Help Desk Analyst who can communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an easily understandable and concise format. Because this Help Desk Analyst role is very visible within the company, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the department and organization. This Help Desk Analyst role is contract to hire, a hybrid work schedule, and located in the Des Moines metro area.

Responsibilities

– Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems and escalating problems to an appropriately experienced technician when required

– Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

– Interface regularly and effectively with ticket submitters via phone, email, chat, and deskside

– Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

– Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

– Offer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

– Adds or updates knowledge articles in the knowledge base

Requirements

– 1-3 years of IT experience

– Customer service driven

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Windows 10

– Office 365

– SCCM

– Active Directory

– Strong familiarity with VMware

– Scripting skills through PowerShell or otherwise preferred

– Ticketing system experience

– Imaging PCs

– Remote desktop support experience

– Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

– Working knowledge of user administration and bug fixing in a client server environment

– Familiarity with basic networking concepts

– Proven experience in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications

– MS Azure experience a plus

– Automation experience a plus

– Exchange experience a plus
