Description Job Description – Helpdesk / AV Technician

I am urgently recruiting for a Helpdesk / AV Technician – permanent and On-site on Long Island. Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.

Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.

Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.

Transporting, setting up, and installing media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks.

Running tests on videos, audio, and signals and troubleshooting any problems that arise.

Performing inventory management on equipment, wiring, and accessories.

Carrying out any cleaning, maintenance, or repairs on audiovisual equipment.

Developing good relationships with clients to keep production moving and to help out production or event coordinators.

Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.

Meeting clients’ standards by handling equipment malfunctions and executing a flawless event.

Candidate Requirements

Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Must be able to work as part of a team but also able to work unassisted as needed.

Strong working knowledge of audiovisual equipment and video conferencing technologies.

Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills, specifically with Windows Operating System

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, audio visual technology or a related field.

Must be willing to intermittently provide support during extended business hours.

The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Use eyes and ears to fine tune audio & video equipment.

Physical fitness to transport and set up equipment of up to 50LBS.

Standard working hours will be: 8am-5:30pm Mon-Fri

Extended working hours: 7:00am-8:00am and 5:40-7:30pm (Intermittent coverage required) Requirements LAN – Local Area Network, Network Migration, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows
