Description

The primary focus of this position is to support HR Shared Services. The HR Shared Services Leave Administrator primary function will be to administer and manage the leave and attendance programs. Secondary functions will be a supporting the HR Department with, Benefits HRSS Reporting and additional duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer and manage leave policies and programs including Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Family & Medical Leave, short and long-term disability, and Leave of Absence administration process. Counsel employees on leave options based on their situational circumstances. Prepares leave paperwork and ensures medical certifications and return to work paperwork is received by the deadline.

Work closely with our manufacturing sites to ensure Attendance Policy is accurately being managed and supported.

Manage the Company’s Leave Management vendor relationship

Initial Point of contact for ADA, Leave of Absence claims, Liaison with LOA Administrator 3rd Party Vendor. Prepare/Maintain Leave of Absence Payments to Payroll; Track employees approaching LTD and work with HRSS Benefits Specialist to determine next steps. Work with HR Business Partners on work restrictions and ensure the log is updated by all sites

Provides training to HR Business Partners to ensure that all leave protocols are followed under legal, regulatory, and client corporate policy.

Collaborate in preparing communications, training, and resource materials for Employees and Managers

Research and review case law and apply knowledge in highly complicated, sensitive, and/or nuanced escalations with legal input as necessary.

Oversees the intake and administration of all leave requests to ensure quality customer service for all work partners’ clients while maintaining a working caseload

Establishes internal controls to ensure all leave adjudications are within established time frames and guidelines

Effectively engage colleagues on the Benefits and Legal teams to create policies for a leave type or location if gaps are identified

Document benefits operations processes and recommend processes for automation, where possible

Detailed project management mindset needed to support high volumes of caseloads Ensure company compliance with provisions of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and other federal and local regulatory and legislative requirements. Manage all benefits compliance issues and obligations. Remain current with pending and future benefit law changes and regulations. Make recommendations on potential changes to plan design based on regulatory changes.

Reporting: Run a variety of reports via various HR, Payroll, and Benefit systems.

Maintain and monitor Employee stock purchase program

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least 5 years of work-related experience.

+ Solid experience with HR/Payroll/Benefit systems

+ Competent computer skills in MS Office.

+ Knowledge of human resources regulations, state and federal employment law.

+ Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and State Leave guidelines and requirements

Preferred Qualifications

+ CLMS Certification

+ PHR Certification

+ Knowledge of SAP cloud applications is highly desirable but not required.

+ Knowledge of Kronos Time & Attendance, and SAP Employee Central Payroll is highly desirable but not required
