Job Description


Our Minneapolis client is seeking a Lead Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic team of ten. In this permanent opportunity, you will handle a variety of payroll-related duties including processing high-volume, multistate payroll, assist in setup of new wage/tax types, complete payroll tax reporting, ensure setup of employees is accurate to ensure timely payment, assist the payroll and HR departments with implementing new initiatives, and additional payroll and HR tasks as required.

An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar, in addition to 10+ years of full-cycle, multistate payroll processing. Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and prior Workday experience are also required. A CPP is highly preferred.

This is a hybrid opportunity, allowing for 3-4 days a week work from home once trained.

This opportunity has a beginning salary of $90-100k with a yearly discretionary bonus. Full, competitive benefits are also available, including health, dental, 401k with match, and PTO/paid holidays. For immediate consideration, please apply directly for consideration.


– 10+ years of payroll experience

– Multistate Payroll experience

– Strong familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll

– bi-Monthly Payroll experience

– Well-founded grasp of semi-Monthly Payrolls

– Earlier work involving payroll for over 500 employees

– Experience with Microsoft Excel

– Quality experience with Process Bi-weekly Payroll

– Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) experience required

– Proven knowledge of Workday Payroll

– Practical knowledge of Reconcile Payroll

– Good understanding of multi-state payroll

– Multi-state payroll experience highly desired

– Previous experience working with garnishments payroll

– Wide ranging experience with Payroll Functions

– Comprehension of Microsoft Excel

– Skills in SAP

– General familiarity with Process Payroll

– Skill in garnishments, processing liens, and various withholdings

– FPC or CPP favored

– Experience working with an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets is required
