Robert Half has partnered with a fast-growing staffing firm in the Denver Tech Center in search of a Payroll Director! The Payroll Director is paying $140,000-$160,000 + bonus!

The Payroll Director will be responsible for the following:

+ This position reports to the CFO, and will work closely with our Finance department.

+ The Director of Payroll will lead payroll operations and processing to ensure all payrolls are processed and transmitted timely, accurately and in compliance with legislative requirements (federal, state, and local wage and hour laws)

+ Provide support to the payroll processors to ensure payrolls adhere to pre-defined schedules, are reconciled timely and all errors/issues are identified and resolved timely.

+ Lead year end payroll and payroll tax activities, including preparation of Forms W-2, fringe benefit reporting, year-end reconciliations, and reporting.

+ Review, analyze and document in SOPs current payroll and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to Payroll best-practices.

+ Lead payroll unemployment and garnishment processes to ensure compliance and remittances are processed timely and accurately.

+ Lead working relationships with agencies regarding payroll taxes, including quarterly/annual taxes, state and local taxes, IRS requests/inquiries and other company audits.

+ Support corporate finance on payroll funding/bank interfaces, reconciliations and general ledger mapping and journal entries.

+ Work closely with various stakeholders, especially the Human Resources Department, on process and master data issues and provide support for issue resolution when identified. payable problem resolution (GR/IR, Ariba, and SAP), procurement master data resolution, etc.

Requirements for the Director of Payroll include:

+ 10+ years of payroll experience

+ Experience at the Director of Payroll level

+ Experience at a 500+ employee company

+ Paylocity (nice to have but not required)
