Description

Robert Half is currently working with a publicly traded company based in Downtown Portland on a project role centered around regulatory filings. This is a very unique and well-compensated contract position for someone with a strong background in tax filing, sales order administration, compliance, and/or accounting. What you get to do every day:

Essential duties:

Filings:

Assist staff with meeting filing deadlines through the preparation of documents following company’s record retention requirements.

+ Format and submit filings following specified rules.

+ Review filings for proofing.

+ Apply confidential/highly confidential treatment.

+ Prep and mail filings as needed by USB, CD, hard copy, etc.

+ Ensure post filing duties are completed in compliance with standard practices and procedures.

Compliance/Compliance Site:

+ Process tariff filings effective tariff sheets and orders through the Regulatory Compliance site.

+ Upload all commission orders to the Regulatory Compliance site.

+ Upload all official filings to Records SharePoint site.

+ Create new docket numbers as needed for Compliance site.

Data Requests

+ Assist Regulatory Paralegal with discovery submissions.

+ Provide confidential/highly confidential treatments: printing, CDs, flash drives, mailers, confidential electronic filing.

SAP and Concur – Expenses P-card charges

+ Process vendor/consultant invoices

+ Process check requests via AP.

+ Prepare purchase requisitions as needed

+ Month end receiving

+ Work with contractors and consultants in providing monthly estimates to Accounting via SAP.

Requirements

+ 2+ years of general office or accounting/compliance experience

+ Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

+ Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Sharepoint)

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent required (AA/AS preferred)

+ High attention to detail as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills
