Help Desk Analysts will be interested in this Robert Half opportunity! We are partnering with a client in Dallas in search of a L2 Desktop Tech.





The Service Desk, Level II role is to provide top tier support and maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Service Desk. Responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, cell phones, and tablets. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, performing PC maintenance, upgrades, configurations, documentation, and process improvement. This role will also be instrumental in the deployment of Enterprise-wide projects.


+ Provide Service Desk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction

+ Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Service Desk

+ Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation

+ Utilize and maintain the Service Desk tracking software

+ Document internal procedures

+ Assist with onboarding of new users

+ Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software

+ Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses

+ Report issues to the Service Desk Supervisor for escalation

+ Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software

+ Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory

+ Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required

+ On call availability and periodic additional time including nights and weekends

+ Assist in optimization of current systems


Minimum Qualifications:

+ Exceptional service orientation.

+ Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

+ Proficiency in knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.

+ Proficiency in knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2, and 2012 R2.

+ Proficiency in knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, and 2016.

+ Proficiency in knowledge of mobile devices (iOS and Android).

+ Experience with configuring and management of Group Policies and Active Directory in a large environment.

+ Experience with Remote Control solutions.

+ Experience in a Medical setting.

Education and Certification:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field preferred.

+ Minimum seven (7) years’ experience supporting users in a large environment with MCP, HDI, or A+ certification.

+ Experience with ServiceNow a plus.

+ Healthcare industry experience preferred.

+ ITIL framework certification preferred.

+ Post-acute hospital experience preferred.

+ Experience with deployment of EMR Solutions preferred.
