We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to work with a thriving Asset Management company in Boston. In this position, you will assist and manage various aspects of the accounting function; G/L upkeep, financial reporting, regulatory and tax compliance, cash management, revenue recognition, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and other analyses. Although this is a Global organization, they very much operate like start up with an entrepreneurial feel. This Sr. Accountant role is based in Boston, MA area and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!
What you get to do every day:
+ Process all accounts payable to ensure proper G/L classification, correct project billing as appropriate, and timely payment
+ Responsible for entire employee expense reimbursement process including initial review and input in G/L system through final payment to ensure full adherence to company policies and timely processing
+ Manage cash including cash receipts, payments, and reconciliations
+ Aid in month-end close procedures, including monthly journal entry postings, the preparation of reconciliations, and reporting
+ Process payroll and work closely with other business areas to ensure complete and correct employee benefits administration including insurances, 401K, etc.
+ Play a key role in the processing of client invoices and receivables to ensure timely receipt of cash
+ Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reporting including re-forecasting and annual budgeting
+ Support Risk and Compliance duties, including client onboarding documentation, and brokerage report reviews
+ Assist in the preparation and completion of financial and regulatory audits
+ 3+ years of accounting related work experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline
+ Experience with General Ledger and required supporting ledgers and accounts
+ Advanced understanding of accounting close processes and financial reporting
+ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
+ Experience with accounting software systems like SAP
+ Willing to wear multiple hats – all pitch in.
+ Has desire to improve processes.
+ Ability to collaborate with colleagues locally and globally at all levels – HQ in Europe
+ Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills
+ Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
