Talent Services – Manager, Employee Lifecycle Events – Compliance

Key Role Description:

The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) team is part of the Talent Services (TS) channel of the Deloitte Talent Organization. TS delivers a breadth of services through an innovative and customer-centric shared services model. The TS vision is to make a global impact through a distinctive Talent experience. The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) Compliance team provides support to key collaborators within and outside of Talent. Process areas include but are not limited to worker’s compensation, unemployment claims, Affirmative Action planning and reporting, EEO-1 and Vets reporting. This role also supports Talent policy activities such as nepotism, outside employment and activities and others.

The ELE Compliance Manager will be directly responsible for team management, oversight and quality of the ELE Compliance team. This role is responsible for driving continuous process efficiencies, leveraging process and technology improvements, and ensuring optimal utilization of resources across US and USI (US India). This role collaborates with other areas within Talent as well as key collaborators including but not limited to Independence, Risk, Office of Confidentiality & Privacy and the Office of General Counsel.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Manages team performance to meet service level agreements and manage workloads, teaming closely with USI ELE management

+ Manages the growth, development, training and performance of a team of 4-6 compliance specialists and leverages process support from USI professionals

+ Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for applicable compliance processes

+ Serves as point of escalation resolution for team through troubleshooting and implementing solutions

+ Works autonomously and partners with appropriate key collaborators to understand and address highly complex compliance related challenges and issues

+ Analyzes data and trends to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to ensure regulatory compliance while striving to optimize efficiency and quality

+ Ensures maintenance of standard operating procedures and knowledge articles within the compliance team

+ Collaborates with USI counterparts to ensure alignment of priorities and leverage best practices between US and USI Compliance teams

+ Develop and present communication materials appropriate for audiences including, but not limited to Talent Relations, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, and other key collaborators

+ Supports the ELE Compliance Leader with ongoing projects and initiatives

Qualifications: Required:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ Minimum of 8 years Human Resources or Compliance related experience

+ Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including presentation expertise

+ Strong executive presence and experience interacting with senior leaders

+ Ability to motivate teams to deliver results in a timely manner

+ Strong ability to implement solutions to ensure consistent timeliness and quality of service delivery

+ Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills

+ High degree of professionalism and integrity and ability to work in a highly confidential environment

+ Consultative and collaborative approach toward internal clients and ability to influence others

+ Ability to manage complex projects and set direction with virtual teams

+ Ability to adapt to change while providing positive guidance and support to the team

+ Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

+ Highly proficient with manipulating and analyzing data

+ Experience with Human Resources Information systems and related processes. (SAP or SAP Success Factors preferred)

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

+ Experience with Case Management systems (ServiceNow or Salesforce)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,300-$173,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
