A client in North Houston is eager to hire an experienced Senior Tax Planning Analyst to join their North American Tax Team immediately on a direct hire basis.
In this Senior Tax Planning Analyst role, you will be a lead on the tax planning projects and other initiatives set forth by Tax Leadership, helping to improve the organization’s tax status and operational performance.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting/participating in the company’s various mergers and acquisitions offering value to the transactions value, interact and work with internal federal, state/local and international tax compliance groups providing insight to various income tax provision and returns, be the tax subject matter expert to the various business units and the North American Tax group for any new GAAP pronouncement and technical tax issues that arise that may affect the organization, oversee and advise on ongoing and new transfer pricing issues to impact successful tax planning objectives and respond to any ad hoc requests.
This role will not directly supervise staff but will be tasked with overseeing projects from inception to completion and the ideal candidate will be able to manage projects and represent the Tax group on various matters with internal and external parties.
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have an Active CPA, 8 plus years of tax experience coming either out of public accounting (Big 4 or Large Regional CPA Firm) or a large corporation working with complex tax transactions working with federal, international, and transfer pricing preferably. Any experience working with various tax research planning software is of value. As a plus, a JD is well regarded as well as a Masters in Taxation is ideal for this role.
