This position is responsible for the process design, configuration, requirement gathering and guiding custom development for SAP FI-CO, as well as integration touch points to other processes and systems. This position is also responsible for hands-on leadership of small cross-functional teams tasked with solving business issues. Responsible for understanding how to estimate, configure and leverage SAP functionality to meet core business process needs. This position would interface regularly with Business Stakeholders, IT infrastructure & Development teams, and Boundary System teams to ensure that business requirements are met through proper system configuration.



Responsible for the SAP Business Process Management for SAP FI-CO processes

  • Participates with Business on SAP IT functionality demand to identify and prioritize SAP/ Business requirements and supporting business cases.
  • Perform design for approved large projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
  • Coordinate/collaborate with Architecture and Infrastructure Teams on best practices, design and environment setup.
  • Defines solutions within SAP FI-CO to meet business requirements.
  • Quality testing and working with users to gain user acceptance testing.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for key SAP FI-CO processes within SAP as well as incoming and outgoing interfaces to SAP FI-CO.
  • Keeps up to date on industry trends and innovations, changes in accounting rules, and future SAP development for their respective process areas or functional areas.
  • Works with business to ensure mutual accountability as design results are achieved. Holds the business accountable to the design.
  • Support global corporate and SAP Real Estate initiatives

Delivers Project Oriented Services

  • For areas where configuration knowledge is required, perform detailed design and configuration of required system components.
  • Follow and improve delivery to operation support methodology, provide Level 2 and 3-production support and identify root causes to issues.
  • Will be leveraged across multiple projects.
  • Translates business requirements into detailed design specifications.
  • Partners with development resources to provide detail functional specifications and field mapping documents for custom development and help to translate functional specifications into technical requirements.
  • Conducts design reviews and assists with the design and specification development.
  • Supports deployment.

International Travel may be required.



  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field.
  • 7+ years of related SAP experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in direct hands on design and implementation of the SAP FI-CO module.
  • Thorough knowledge of cross functional integration of SAP FI-CO with SD, MM and POSDT modules



  • SAP Certification Preferred
  • SAP Business Process Knowledge
  • SAP IS-Retail experience is preferred.
  • Functional experience in retail industry
  • 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience including global templates with an in-depth understanding of SAP integration and ASAP methodology required
  • Strong experience with SAP IDOCS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Project
