Sun Life Asia Service Center (ASC)
Asia Service Centre (ASC) is a global in-house shared services center for Sun Life businesses across the
globe. The term ‘ASC’ is collectively used for its two centers, ASCI – Asia Service Centre India and ASCP
– Asia Service Centre Philippines. ASCs’ journey started in 2006 and has since achieved scale and
operational maturity, we are now a strong 2,700 employee organization. Our service portfolio includes:
 Technology, which covers Application Development and Management, DevOps, Support,
Testing, Digital and Data Analytics, AWS Cloud, Robotics and Infrastructure Services;
 Operations, which covers Business Processing and Client Care Centre (CCC i.e. voice services)
 Knowledge Services, which includes Corporate Investments team in Public Fixed Income,
Private Fixed Income, Mortgages and Compliance; and
 Business Excellence, which includes operational, and technology process quality assurance,

transformation journey for Sun Life on Data, Digital and Cloud technologies.

Job purpose:
This strategic role that -
• Responsible for leading technical direction and implementation of the software pipeline and
observability platform
• Defines event management framework and lead its implementation
• Lead discussions with domain experts to extract the necessary information to codify the
information flow
• Responsible for the technical aspects of ensuring that the Kafka infrastructure is highly
available, sustainable, performant, cost effective, and usable.

• Will work closely with leadership, architecture and vendors to deliver these services.
Expertise and Experience:
 12-15 years of experience in established data technologies viz. Data ingestion and emerging
data technologies
 Depth in data management and data integration
 Hands on experience with setting up approach for CDC.
 Experience with CDC tools. Ability to compare and provide point of view  
 How to integrate the event stream technology with CDC,
 Experience on event stream tools such as KAFKA, Amazon Kinesis, rabbit MQ . red hat AMQ,
 Hands on experience of various data services on AWS
 Skilled to lay out correct implementation strategy of event-driven data integration as per
business needs
 Industry experience in defining & implementing solution using data integration technologies
 Experienced or conversant in emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, 
and unstructured data. Must understand them sufficiently to guide the organization in
understanding and adopting them
 Good understanding of implementing & architecting data solutions using the informatica, SQL
 Strong sense of ownership of design solution
 Advocate for the user’s perspective on the Agile team and promote the
importance of design
 Embraces a culture of trust and complete transparency
 Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset
 Ability to identify innovative business solutions and implement
.Skills & Education:
 Strong communication skills with ability to work with business and Technology stakeholders
 Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently

 B.E/B.Tech/BCA/MCA from a reputed organization
