Job Description & Summary

Creating business intelligence from data requires an understanding of the business, the data, and the technology used to store and analyse that data. Using our Rapid Business Intelligence Solutions, data visualisation and integrated reporting dashboards, we can deliver agile, highly interactive reporting and analytics that help our clients to more effectively run their business and understand what business questions can be answered and how to unlock the answers.

SAS Administrator: Role
1. Provide end user support

o Resolve the bugs / defects reported by application users
o Identify the solution and take necessary approvals from MSTD and
release the patch for UAT after fixing the defects
2. Configuration management and version control
3. Release Management
o Group the related change requests, assess their development progress
and accordingly prepare a schedule for their release
4. Maintenance of post implementation support environment
o Administer SAS 9.4 SAS environment and work with the other
administrators aligned to support the OS & Hardware on which SAS
resides
o Create/modify/delete SAS library references, server definitions, users,
service accounts, groups, group membership, and other objects in SAS
metadata
o Manage directory structuring in the metadata and on the file system
o Maintain configuration data, user access and control within all SAS
components
o Manage and track SAS products inventory
o Perform disk space planning and allocate disk space for applications and
users support, administer SAS BI server user access definition and
controls, define the BI server user groups and corresponding logical
servers, and design and implement scheduled backups of the metadata
database
o Perform testing and quality assurance for all changes to SAS software,
including new releases, and service packs, download and apply SAS
Hotfixes as applicable
o Troubleshoot SAS client application errors reported by end users
o Support users of client tools SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Add-in for
Microsoft Office
o Manage setting up Data Access in SAS, including registering libraries and
tables in the metadata, updating table metadata, setting up data access,
and troubleshooting data access
o Support all SAS-server-hosted data
o Monitor and manage SAS platform for memory and CPU utilization
o Perform performance tuning and backups. Setup and monitor automated
metadata backups

o Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
o Provide end-to-end coordination and support for any query/ issue
pertaining to the application

5. Create ETL jobs using SAS DI to load data in database tables post data quality
treatment and transformation
6. Creation of SAS datasets / DataMarts based on the business requirements using
SAS Data Management
7. Schedule and monitor ETL jobs.
