Job Description & Summary

As a part of our SAM (software asset management) team, you’ll help PwC implement an efficient and manageable software programme addressing key aspects to improve governance, reduce our cost exposure, and gain greater efficiency and effectiveness in managing software assets.

Technology Product and Asset Specialist is responsible for providing office based, customer-centric support and insightful advice and administering hardware asset inventory throughout the lifecycle, maintaining records and databases containing information related to purchase, movement, ownership and retirement. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking with focus on data quality.

We will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations balance long term strategies and short term imperatives to optimize internal investments and strategic activity required to achieve the organization's business objectives.

  • Maintaining processes for managing and tracking IT hardware assets and their maintenance life cycle from procurement to retirement.

  • Responsible for liaising with IT vendors on IT asset warranty claims, parts replacement purchasing etc.

  • Responsible IT product evaluation for fit for purpose use based on business requirements.

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure proper IT asset deployment as and when required.

  • Maintain an innovative technology focussed environment where customer satisfaction is at the forefront of everything we do.

  • Updating procedures for effective asset life cycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, decommission and disposal) of IT assets.

  • Using reports to establish adherence to ITAM standards, processes and procedures.

  • Reporting on and acting upon the process metrics reported.

  • Prepare and provide regular IT asset reports for the IT asset management team.

  • Resolving compliance exceptions in the environment and responsible to establish corrective actions are taken to address any non-compliance in the process.

  • Identifying deficiencies and action plans to address.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to the wider customer experience.

  • Establish strong working relationships with customers at all levels

  • Establishing the asset methods and processes are properly approved and communicated to appropriate teams before being implemented.

  • Providing technical specialization and support for projects and audits.

  • Establishing all Asset/CIs are accurately registered or deregistered.

  • Participating in process improvement efforts.

  • Establishing that IT Standards are used to normalize the product information supporting IT Asset Management.

  • Establishing data accuracy of Assets and their attributes (statuses and locations) in ITAM Tool as well as in CMDB.

  • Identifying data quality problems related to deficiencies in systems, applications, data stores and processes.

  • Improving the data quality of the information domain they oversee.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve or reengineer the ITAM process as it relates to creating and managing data.

  • Understanding ITIL and SLA based support models.

Preferred skills

  • Candidates should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Computer Science / Information Technology.

  • Preferably Executive specializing in Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Preferably at least 3 years of related working experience in managing and deploying IT assets (e.g. laptops and laptop peripherals).

  • Demonstrating level of ability with proven conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills, ability to communicate sound technical advice to clients, managers and technical staff.

  • Working knowledge of asset management processes and procedures.

  • Demonstrating ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments supporting business as usual, user request as well as special projects.

  • Demonstrating ability to effectively communicate and display a professional, mature attitude in dealing with internal customers, management and personnel across the organization.

  • Working knowledge of Interface of ITAM processes with CMDB.

  • Demonstrating experience working with ITAM Tools like Flexera or ServiceNow ITAM.

  • ITIL 4 Certification and IAITAM Certification is an added advantage.

  • Demonstrating proven research ability.

  • Experience of delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication and presenting skills.

  • Enthusiastic around technology and innovation.

  • Attention to detail and effective problem identification and solution skills.

  • Should have a positive work attitude, adaptable and can work well under pressure.
